• Can I buy my Starrett tools or parts from you directly?

  We offer a selection of our products for sale on our website. Available items will have a cart button on the product page.
  
  Parts up to $100.00 list and repairs can be handled directly, payable by credit card.

• Can I order Starrett tools with certification for my "ISO" program?

  Starrett offers many of our most popular products with a Standard Letters of Certification (SLC). We also offer Calibration Services for Starrett as well as other popular manufacturer's tools.

• I have an older Starrett tool. How much is it worth?

  There is no pre-established value on older Starrett tools. Many factors can affect the value of an older tool; age, model, condition, etc. Thus, estimating value can be very subjective. A tool/antique collector may be able to offer you suggestions.

• I need replacement parts for my Starrett tools. Where can I purchase them?

  You can purchase replacement parts from your local authorized Starrett distributor, authorized repair center or direct from Starrett up to $100 list.

• If I have an invention or an idea, how do I go about presenting it to Starrett?

  We are always interested in developments related to our line. Our policy for reviewing ideas or inventions from the outside is very informal in that we do not require any contracts or agreements between the inventor and ourselves for an initial study.
  
  We ask that all drawings and a complete written description be submitted to the Director of Research and Development, 121 Crescent Street, Athol, MA 01331-1915, USA. Be sure to include all the pertinent points concerning the construction of the idea and the features it possesses over the present methods now employed.
  
  We understand the reluctance of inventors to submit descriptive material pertaining to inventions without some sort of protection. Therefore, we recommend the inventor take the necessary steps to safeguard their idea. There are many ways of achieving this short of actually acquiring a patent. One simple and inexpensive way is to have the material to be submitted notarized and witnessed that it is coming to us for our consideration.

• We have various Starrett tools that have certifications. How often do they need to be updated or re-certified?

  There is no specific timetable for re-calibration of tools. There are many factors that should be taken into consideration when a tool needs to be re-calibrated. Amount of use, environment and care of tool, etc. must be considered. It is up to each company or individual to decide how often a tool needs to be re-certified. For assistance in determining your certification needs, please contact one of our Calibration & Repair facilities.

• What is the guarantee on a Starrett tool?

  Starrett will warranty the tool against defects in materials and workmanship for one year from date of purchase. If upon inspection it is determined that the tool has been abused or misused the warranty will be void. Please contact us.
