California Proposition 65

The L.S. Starrett Co. is committed to complying with California Proposition 65 ruling, officially known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986. The proposition protects the state's drinking water sources from being contaminated with chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm, and requires businesses to inform Californians about exposures to such chemicals. The list contains a wide range of naturally occurring and synthetic chemicals that are known to cause cancer or birth defects or other reproductive harm.

The L.S. Starrett Co. is committed to complying with all laws and regulations applicable to our business, including the California Proposition 65 regulations. The L.S. Starrett Co. will actively monitor their supply chain to ensure that all materials have been verified to the California Proposition 65 standards. L.S. Starrett expects all of its suppliers to use materials that comply with California Proposition 65 regulations. Should the L.S. Starrett Co. discover that any of its suppliers are non-compliant with California Proposition 65 regulations, we will work with the supplier to achieve compliance.
